    Welcome to this week's update. 

    • We are giving out lanyards to students this week, which will include a copy of their timetable. We will be asking students to wear these at all times during the school day. At the end of each day we are asking students to put them safely in their pockets - so please watch out for these when washing uniform!
    • Students will be shown how to use Sparx Reader this week. This is a key part of our new approach to homework. Once students have all the logins they need we will start encouraging students to complete their homework consistently, but at the moment we understand that not all students are ready to start. 
    • From today, students in Years 7-9 have an improved lunchtime offer with a new outdoor pod serving sandwiches, pasta and drinks. This is in addition to their hot food options in their main dining space.

    Dear parents and carers,

    Welcome to the new school year! We are especially pleased to welcome parents and carers of our new Year 7 students.

    Each week we send these weekly updates letting you know what's going on in the school and any key dates. We will send a message directly to you to let you know a new edition is published, but they can always be found on our website at https://www.manchester.coopacademies.co.uk/letters-home - if you ever worry that you aren't receiving our messages please check there. Of course, we won't publish any confidential letters about your child there.

    We need a current phone number and email address for all parents and carers, so please let us know if you change them. 

    For the next few weeks we are sending messages via a service called Iris Reach. This will send you a free My Ed app message if you have the app, or else an SMS message if you do not. We do ask parents and carers to please download the app as it reduces the cost of messaging. By October half-term, we plan to move to the service provided by Arbor. This will mean that messages, behaviour data and lunch payments are 'all in one place' for parents and carers.

  • Our Top Revision Tips for Year 11

    On Monday 16 October we were delighted to meet families with children in Year 11.

    We invited them to our 'Helping Your Child Revise' evening - a summary of the top tips we shared is below. 

    • Please also note that students can buy Revision Guides from the Library. They can use Class Charts points towards them. 
    • If students need anything else to help them revise, such as highlighters, books, desks etc. they should speak to Mrs Antrobus.
