Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your feedback regarding our recent school day consultation. Following discussions with parents, staff, the school council, and Co-op Academies Trust, we have decided to move forward with the proposed changes for the 2026/27 academic year.
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to share some very exciting news regarding the future leadership of our Academy.
Following a rigorous two-day selection process which drew a strong field of candidates from across the country, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Joanne Clifton as our new Headteacher. Mrs. Clifton will officially join the team on 11th June.
Dear Parents and Carers,
We wrote to you recently to inform you of some price increases made by our catering provider, Taylor Shaw. The new price list can be found on our website at https://www.manchester.coopacademies.co.uk/lunches
The academy will be closing early for all students on Thursday 5 February 2026, to allow us to host our Year 9 Progress and Option Evening.
Year 9 Progress and Options Evening is a chance for you to speak with your child’s teachers about how they are performing across all subjects, ahead of making their final options choices.
You will also be given a copy of your child’s latest academic progress report.
We currently have two vacancies for a member of our parent and carer community to join the Academy Community Council (ACC) at Co-op Academy Manchester.
Key dates for the next round of Year 11 mock examinations.
We promote personal wellbeing and development through our personal, social, health and economics (PSHE) programme. Relationships and sex education (RSE) is interlinked within the same curriculum and follows Government guidance. PSHE is delivered as a timetabled subject within Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9), and within dedicated PSHE time during tutor time in Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11).
Dear Parents/Carers
Thank you, once again, for your support of all the changes we have made at the Academy this academic year. These changes have made a really positive difference for students.
To further support this, we are now looking to consult with you on some proposed changes to the school day and holiday pattern for September 2026/27 onwards. Please discuss these changes as a family, at home, and let us know if you have any feedback.
End of term letter - December 2025
Next half-term, all Year 9 students will be selecting the four options subjects they will study throughout key stage 4 (Years 10 and 11).
