Update: New school day structure for September 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your feedback regarding our recent school day consultation. Following discussions with parents, staff, the school council, and Co-op Academies Trust, we have decided to move forward with the proposed changes for the 2026/27 academic year.

The Morning Routine (All Students)

From September 2026, the school day will start 5 minutes earlier.

7:30am: Free breakfast service remains available for all students.
8:15am: School doors open.
8:20am: All students are expected to be on-site.
8:25am: Form time begins (compulsory start).

Afternoon Finish Times

To help you plan, please note the differing finish times across the week:

Monday & Tuesday	Years 7–10	3:15pm
Monday & Tuesday	Year 11	4:00pm (Compulsory Period 6)
Wednesday	All Students	3:15pm
Thursday & Friday	All Students	2:30pm

Why is this changing?

These adjustments allow us to maximise learning time while ensuring our Year 11 students receive the additional "Period 6" support they need for their exam success.
