Next half-term, all Year 9 students will be selecting the four options subjects they will study throughout key stage 4 (Years 10 and 11).
The academy will be closing early for all students on Thursday 15 January 2026, to allow us to host our Year 7 and 8 Progress Evening.
Our form tutors are looking forward to meeting parents and carers of Year 7 and Year 8 students at Progress Evening on Thursday 15 January 2026. This is an in-person event and the evening will run between 3.10pm and 6.45pm.
Our teachers are looking forward to meeting parents and carers of Year 11 students at Progress Evening on Thursday 11 December. The evening will run between 4pm and 7.30pm.
Key reminders for Year 11 mock exams
It has been a great start to the academic year and we hope your child feels happy and settled in Year 7.
We are writing to inform you of key dates and resources as our Year 11 students begin the important final stage of their secondary school journey.
We are holding a ‘Meet the Form Tutor’ evening for parents and carers of Year 7 students on Thursday 16 October 2025, 3pm to 5pm.
Students leaving secondary education are, by law, expected to continue in education or training until they are at least 18 years of age. They will have a choice as to how they progress after leaving school (Post 16).
Bus passengers are again being urged to plan their journey ahead of further industrial action expected to take place next week in Greater Manchester.
