Sophia's Creative Writing Success!

There is nothing quite like watching a young person find their voice and run with it; that is exactly what happened with Sophia in Year 7.
Having finished all of her English classwork, Sophia was ready for a new challenge. Her teacher, Mrs Howarth, gave her a creative writing prompt to spark her imagination: The Day the World Ended.
Sophia got straight to work, letting her creativity flow, and managed to complete a brilliant, imaginative short story before the lesson had even ended.
Opportunities like this show the incredible determination and talent our young people have when they are supported to stretch their minds. Mrs Howarth was so impressed by Sophia's wonderful imagination and hard work that she just knew it had to be shared with our whole academy community!
Writing tasks like this help our students build confidence, think outside the box, and develop skills that will help them succeed in life, not just in school. We are so proud of you, Sophia!
