We are extremely proud of their commitment to all the revision sessions they have attended, as well as the additional time they have invested at home revising.

It has been a pleasure to be a part of their learning journey, watching them grow in maturity and resilience. Their presence and contributions to academy life will be missed. 

We have planned a leavers’ assembly on Friday 13 June which will include some student (and staff) performances, a buffet lunch and speeches. There will be the opportunity for shirt signing before students leave school around 12:20pm. Those who study Statistics, Portuguese, Persian or Polish will remain in the academy for their afternoon exams.

Students are expected to attend all remaining lessons and be in school uniform.

If your child has an academy Chromebook or library book at home, these should be returned to us before or on Friday 13 June. If your child’s lunch account is overdrawn, please ensure the account is settled using the Arbor Parent Portal: https://coopmanchester.uk.arbor.sc/

We would also appreciate donations for our uniform exchange. We accept all items of uniform and PE kit. Items should be clean and gently used (no holes or stains, with working zips or buttons). Donations can be dropped off during the school day at reception. We would specifically like to ask for donations of Year 11 ties that can be shared with future students who may struggle to purchase one.

Monday 16 June

8.00am - Physics revision session 8.20am - all students to arrive for the GCSE Physics exam   Following the Physics exam, students that don’t study Music or Spanish will leave the academy   GCSE Music students will remain in the academy and follow the timetable below: 10:20 - break 10.50 - revision session 12.20 - lunch 1.05 - Music exam   GCSE Spanish students will remain in the academy and follow the timetable below: 10:20 - break 10.50 - revision session 12.20 - students will leave the academy. If any students require lunch, please contact the Year 11 team.

Tuesday 17 June

Students studying Food and Nutrition will follow the timetable below: 10:30 - arrive at school for a revision session  12:20 - lunch 13:05 - Food and Nutrition Exam   Students studying Design Technology will follow the timetable below: 11:20 - arrive at school for a revision session 12:20 - lunch 12:55 - revision 1.55 - students will leave the academy

Wednesday 18 June

Students studying Design Technology should arrive at the academy for 8.20am. Their exam will begin at 9am prompt.

 

Thursday 19 June

Students studying GCSE Greek should arrive at the academy for 8.20am. Their exam will begin at 9am prompt.

 

All students should remain available to come into the academy up to and including Wednesday 25 June. 

Our last gathering before the summer is the prom on Thursday 3 July. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to spend time with friends and enjoy the evening as a year group. Tickets can be purchased on the Arbor Parent Portal. At 4.30pm we are holding a drinks reception at the academy for parents and carers and students to celebrate together, before students will be transported at 5.30pm to the prom venue. We will let parents and carers know where the prom venue is earlier the same day. We are expected back at the academy no later than 10.30pm.

Finally, we hope students have a superb summer and enjoy a well-earned break from their studies before receiving their results on Thursday 21 August (more information about GCSE results day will follow).
