Year 11 Jan-Feb 2026 Mock Exams

Key dates for the next round of Year 11 mock examinations.

Dear parents and carers,

We are writing to inform you of key dates for the next round of Year 11 mock examinations.

The final countdown has begun. These mock exams represent a vital milestone in your child’s journey toward their final qualifications. To succeed, students must now move beyond simple revision and tap into the grit and resilience required for peak performance. It is the hard work done in these coming weeks—the motivation to stay focused and the courage to bounce back from challenges—that will define their results in the summer. Let's work together to ensure they stay on track and give their very best.

Key exam information

The second set of mock exams will run from Thursday 29th January to Friday 27th February 2026.

The mock exam timetable is available on the exams page of our website. Students have been given a more detailed paper version of this during tutor time. A small number of students will have a ‘clash’–this is where two of their subjects have an exam at the same time. These students will be given a personalised timetable so they know which exam they will sit on each day.

Arriving on time

Students must be in their tutor rooms no later than 8.30am. This is even more important during the mock exam period so that exams can start promptly. In order to ensure students do not miss any exams, we will check registers at 8.35am and we will make calls home for any absent students. It is essential that students are on time so that they maximise the time they have, but also so that they don’t disrupt the exam for other students by walking in late.

Morning revision area & free breakfast

During the mock exam period, students will be able to enter the academy through main reception from 7.30am onwards. We offer a free breakfast all year round, but during the exam period we want Year 11 to have a space reserved for them only. As such, Diner 3 will be available for Year 11 only to complete independent revision from 7.30am onwards. Free toast, crumpets and juice will be available.

Year 11 Booster Programme

To support all students in preparing for these exams, we have established a focused Booster Programme. These sessions are designed to consolidate knowledge, address common misconceptions, and provide targeted exam practice in key subjects.

The full booster timetable will be shared on our exam page shortly.

Mobile phones/smart watches/ear phones/air pods

A crucial reminder: mobile phones, smart watches, earphones, and AirPods are not allowed in the exam hall under any circumstances. If a student is found with a prohibited device, it will be treated as a serious offence, likely resulting in disqualification from the paper. During the real exams, all such incidents must be reported to the exam board for further investigation. All such devices must be placed in student bags and left outside the exam hall.

How parents/carers can help

  1. Make sure your child is spacing their revision out in the run up to exams;

  2. Encourage a healthy sleeping routine: no phones before bed and a sensible hour to go to sleep;

  3. Ensure students turn up to school on time, every day.
