College deadlines

It's important that Year 11 students applying to college do so before the deadline date set by each individual college:

  • Holy Cross College – Monday 1 December 2025
  • Xaverian College – Friday 5 December 2025 (internal deadline – paper application forms available from the Careers Hub in school)
  • Rochdale Sixth Form College – Thursday 18 December 2025
  • Ashton Sixth Form College – Friday 9 January 2026
  • Loreto Sixth Form College – Friday 9 January 2026
  • Connell Co-op College – Friday 16 January 2026
  • Oldham Sixth Form College - Friday 16 January 2026

Apprenticeships

Most apprenticeship vacancies for school-leavers will be advertised around February 2026. Students interested in an apprenticeship will need to search for vacancies themselves:

We strongly advise that students apply for a college course as a backup. Apprenticeships are in high demand and courses are quickly filled (particularly in the construction industry).
