Open evening

We are holding our Open Evening for prospective students on Thursday 9 October between 4 and 7pm.

Please share the date with any families who have children in Year 5 or 6.

Community Fridge

We are changing the day we open our Community Fridge, from Monday to Wednesday.

As we have changed our school day, we may also need to change the opening times for the Fridge - keep an eye on our social media for updates.

Our 2026 school production is Oliver!

Any students wanting to audition must attend a meeting after school on Friday.

Academy Library

Students are welcome in the library from 8am, during break, lunch and after school until 4pm.

The main library book stock has a large selection of Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biographies, Revision guides, Dyslexia-friendly books, Magazines and Newspapers, Wellbeing and Graphic Novels and Manga. The online library catalogue can be accessed to renew, search and access student accounts, and also used for research links for homework.

We have an online library with over 3000 ebooks and audiobooks. To login, students use their full school email and the password Library1

There are 30 Chromebooks for students to use for homework, reading and study, including the use of headphones.

There is also plenty of seating in the library. There are study tables and chairs, an interactive whiteboard and comfy seating available.

Students can play chess, use the printer and also have quiet time, do crosswords and word searches. The library regularly runs competitions, including a weekly Boggle Bob that all students can enter.

The library is staffed by Miss Tindall and a large team of friendly Student Librarians from all year groups.

End of year letter 2025

As our academic year comes to a close, we would like to thank you for the support you have shown throughout the year. It has been another extremely busy, but very rewarding year, as we continue to move from ‘Good’ to ‘GREAT’.
